Description
I needed a good sturdy stand for my Steam Deck and Valve was taking way too long with theirs so I started poking around the see what the community came up with. And of course I wanted to add some extra functionality in case I need to use a keyboard or other peripherals. I didn't like any one thing out there so I borrowed some ideas and made my own.
Welcome to the SteamDock for the Steam Deck.
Neebick had something that I liked (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5254208 by neebick) so I started there.
Then I found this cage for a DockTech DD0003 Mini USB hub and pretty much just fused them together.
It worked so well, it even got picked up by TechRadar and several other media outlets after I posted it on Reddit.
This has more functionality than the Valve official Dock and costs half the price!
