Description

In February 2021, Myanmar Government experienced a breakthrough: for the first time, the Military had the bare minimum of seats required in their parliament. Democracy movements led by Aung San Suu Kyi, have pushed the way since 2011 to a more free and democratic Myanmar. Unsatisfied with the results, Military Junta declared a 'State of Emergency and took control of the government, forcing many members of parliament to be arrested, exiled, or even executed. This didn't go without notice from the people, however. Protests swept across the nation leading to the deaths of over a thousand protesters and the executions of Pro-Democracy Leaders Kyaw Min Yu (Also known as Ko Jimmy) and Phyo Zeya Thaw. The remnants of the government-in-exile (Called the National Utility Government, or NUG) have focused their efforts on guerilla resistance against the Junta across the Nation, but cannot fight back without the world noticing their struggles. Unlike Ukraine, their efforts were soon ignored after the Coup when 'More Important News' came. If no one is willing to fight for freedom, then there will be no freedom. Please spread the news of their struggles for freedom any way you can.

The peacock has long been a symbol of Burma, and this one, in particular, has shown up in Revolutions against British Rule the 8888 Uprising in 1988, and the Saffron Revolution in 2007. It is the symbol of the Burmese people fighting for their rights against oppression from the Military. Print it or use the SVG to engrave it onto items.

Shout out to Radio Free Asia, without them I would be left in the dark about the fight for freedom in both Myanmar and the rest of East Asia.
