Description
This is a (Torture) Test for Resin 3D Printers to determine the peel forces and to test ways to reduce those peel forces (to get better prints).
This test is not meant to be a Calibration test, as it requires cleaning the vat after each time it's used.
HOW TO USE:
Select the correct supported version for your printer/resin/settings (or print one of each). Print with good settings (should not be over exposed).
Drain the vat and carefully remove any stuck pyramids.
Clean, dry, and cure the prints.
Read the numbers on the side of the pyramid (a marker can make them more visible). Higher numbers are better.
BONUS:
When removing stuck pyramids, put a bit of thread through the loop and measure the max force required to peel it from the FEP.
The Supported files Light, Medium, and Heavy are only different in the single central support, where the name indicates if it is a Chitubox Light, Medium, or Heavy support.
I highly recommend printing two or three of these on a plate incase one is a fluke, as well as including the cones of calibration model as well to ensure the settings are correct. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5416700
One potential use is to fill the build plate with the model to visualize the FEP tension and how peel force can be different across the FEP, like in the image shown.
