Description
Short story: my 3 years SEB blender drive shaft broke.
I tried to get the spare part from the SEB website store but couldn't find it even if it proudly promises every product has 15 years supplied spare parts... ><
So as the rest of the blender is perfectly nice - except markings, see pictures! - and I hate wasting, I modeled the part in Designspark Mechanical and printed it with PLA in 0.10 / 17% filling.
I set it in place and the piece seems to do the trick, so I gladly set this online for free for anyone who would be in the same situation.
I cannot ensure this piece will last long, I'm not too sure about the PLA strongness in such a solicited place but I will make update here if needed.
UPDATE 1
PLA is NOT recommended for this print. The piece does not support heat in working condition (i.e. when mixing soup) and lose its form.
I think things would be better with ABS.
If someone can print this piece in ABS and tell me about its experience, I would be very glad. If it doesn't work either, I will remove this design to not give anyone false hope to fix their appliance. :'(
UPDATE 2
I found the spare part on a third party merchant. I redesigned the piece to be more close of the spare I received as the edges are sharper than on the first model I designed from (possibly caused by wear).
