Description

Arduino Mega 2560 ADK Enclosure

This really fine-tuned box is designed to bring the arduino mega into a nice form and as well to enclose the top proto shield or an own pcb to be accessible (like for connections, leds, buttons, etc.).

With this box you have an opened area on the top that gives you access to your protoshield while the sides are enclosed. The Usb/power port are nicely enclosed and in position.

Any feedback or comments are welcome.

Enclosing

Based on which kind of shield and or electronics you use its maybe necessary to modify the top cover(s) to have more or less space on the used shield. The basic covers height is 3mm so it’s easy to adjust in any cad program.

If there is interest in a version that is less in height, let me know (eg for short shield headers).

Please note that the front side (over the usb/power connectors) of the top enclosure is thinner than on the backside.

Mounting / Screws

The hole diameter is 3.10mm so M3 screws can be easily and carefully screwed in. The arduino can be fixed with just one screw in the middle or if you like you can use more screws.
