Compact Loose Filament Spool

Filament samples and leftovers need a good home: let this compact and robust two-part spool take care of them.
This design is based on its big brother, the Loose Filament Spool.

Design Features

• Full-height hub makes it easy to add filament
• Prints without supports
• Works without fasteners: bayonet fit joins spool parts
• Automatic latch stops the parts rotating apart
• Integrated filament "clips" hold start and end of filament
• 54mm diameter spool hub fits most spool holders
• Filament hub is 90mm diameter and 26mm wide for most samples and loose filament
• 130mm outside diameter
• It's bloody tough
• The optional hub extension (normal and tech versions) increases the internal width to 58mm (needs supports under the latch)
• The optional lead-in cone helps with big and/or stubborn filament
