I was looking for a solution to make slingshot pouch bands without the help needed from someone else.
I found some nice jigs here on thingiverse but decided to design my own solution.
I proudly present to you the 'GOPO MikJig-1'.
Features:
- L = 19,5 cm, W = 5 cm, H = 4,5 cm.
- 2 rotating self locking clamps for pouch and band clamping.
- Easy movable guide with ratchet system and release button for band stretching.
- Maximum opening when movable guide in outer position about 10 cm.
- Can be clamped or screwed on a table with band and pouch sticking out for easy access.
Material needed:
- 4 x M3 bolt or similar sized screw.
- Spring (about d 4 mm x 25 mm, most pen's have a suitable spring)
- Pin for ratchet (between d 1 mm an d 1,2 mm x 20 mm)
Assembly (see images):
- Movable guide: Install spring and ratchet (goes in from the top) button and lock with the hinge pin.
- Slide the movable guide on the base frame and check functionality.
- Install the rotating clamps, washers and screws.
- If all is working fine, install the bottom part and last 2 screws.
