Description
Had the part crumbling little by little for years until there was so little left that I decided it was time to model and print a replacement. Took calipers and started measuring and I also studied the existing versions from Thingiverse just to see how close I had gotten with my own measurements. Some of them were a little off, but one pretty close to mine, so I was confident it was worth to give a go.
Used Ultimaker 3, 0.4mm nozzle and "Fine" preset at 0.1mm layer height. The result seemed pretty perfect, only the inner fit was so snug that I first thought I had gotten it a little wrong, but then gave it a couple of light taps with a normal hammer and voilĂ , it went in without cracking!
Though the blades are fairly worn out already, you couldn't get a cut on your finger just by touching them, the blender is still good enough for making creamy soups or smoothies etc. from soft ingredients, so that I hope the coupling will last for long times to come and I a have good feeling that it might.
