Description
New Case can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7016616
This case is for the Eggtimer Eggfinder LCD with internal GPS Module that's primarily used for retrieving/finding Rockets. This case was designed to use 18650 Li-Ion batteries, which can be charged via USB-C. Li-Po batteries can also be used, but Li-Ion have a higher capacity for the size and can be stored for longer periods without degradation. You can use any Li-Ion of any capacity that you wish (IE, the average current draw with the back light on is about 120 mAh, so a 1500 mAh 18650 Li-Ion could get roughly 10+hrs per charge.)
The plus side of using LiPo's is that you don't need the BMS, USB charging port, or the battery holder. You could also incorporate the USB-C charger as well but this will not balance charge the lipo which I highly suggest. You will have to determine what size lipo to use.
As with most 3D printed items and printers, there may be some fit and finish steps that will need to be done. I have tried my best to get this to where anyone can build it, but you may have to modify parts or find alternative solutions to a problem. If the links don't work, search for the component to find the best deals. I purchased everything on AliExpress, but the links get changed fairly often.
Build notes:
When soldering on the SMA, do that LAST so that it lines up with the hole. Solder one of the legs, then remove the board to finish the other connections.
