Description
This is my own remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4069239. I use an SKR Mini E3 V3 and an Orange Pi Zero2 for OctoPrint.
I modified the original box so that I could use 5015 fans instead of 4010/4020 fans. I put some walls inside for better cable management. But there are those who may have problems if the wires are too short.
I'm not a 3D designer and I don't know much about it, but I had to modify it to meet my needs.
I uploaded it in case it might be useful to someone else.
I made modified lid for both, on which the "grill" is placed to the front and a cross direction. This can be used with if inward blowing fan.
I also made a simple air filter housing in two sizes for supply fans for both boxes. 10 and 20 millimeter sponge filters can be used in these air filter housings.
Since BTT only made a case with necessary modifications for this board, and other cases are almost are less available for the time being, I made the BTT Manta E3 EZ version of the SKR box. The "SKR-airfilter" also usable for this case.
This case is a little longer and stretches forward more so that the Manta E3 EZ board connectors (USB, LAN, HDMI) are accessible on the side. The bottom of the box has been lowered, so that the Pi (CB1, CM4) SD card slot is accessible from the outside under the fixing tab.
The printer needs to be raised higher due to the lowered box and air filter. I made a remix from FONSWERKS Ender 3 V2 Riser Feet 35mm (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4665097), but modified one of the legs with a spacer, because the left front leg had to be pushed back because of the SD-Card reader. It's only a small modification, but it prevents the leg from accidentally getting into the wrong position.
I also made a "tunnel" on the case side wall where the BTT TFT35 SPI flat cable can be routed out of the case on the left side at the top of the case. This solution can be used very well for example to banditoz made tft35 SPI screen case (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5832319). Unfortunately, on the Manta E3EZ, the connector of this cable - I don't know, why - is not oriented up, but on the side, which makes it difficult to route the cable in the case. To solve this problem, I made a small recess in the side wall of the case opposite the connector so that the cable can fit. I don't know if it went well as I didn't print this modified version.
"Simple" Ender 3 (E3OG or Ender 3 OG) version: E3-MantaE3EZ-box.stl and E3-MantaE3EZ-box-lid.stl
STEP files are included for all cases, except for the "simple" Ender 3.
The "E3V2-MantaE3EZ-BOX-poly-TEST" and "E3V2-MantaE3EZ-BOX-poly" are not the same versions! "E3V2-MantaE3EZ-BOX-poly-TEST" is a version in which the MANTA E3EZ board is moved further from the wall, leaving more space for the TFT display connector.
