Rubber Band Gun - Semi Auto - Fully Printed

A dive into the past, we all had one in our younger years... well most of us anyways. You'd be lucky to find one in between all the NERF guns in the isles today. I was having trouble finding one, so it was time to hop on CAD and make my own. This thing's a blast! AND a blast from the past!

Surprisingly accurate! You can find out how accurate it is by jumping over to YouTube and subscribing to @sanfordprime! See link down below. Here, I run the gun through its paces and make sure everything is in working order.

All parts are printed, except the rubber bands, obviously. I was able to find these at the local Harbor Freight for something like 2 or 3 bucks…

All parts are Qty (1) except for the pins where you'll need (3). I printed all parts from Overture silk grey PLA and black PLA. 15% gyroid infill and 3mm wall thickness for solid strength for all parts. I tried a couple of times to get the tolerancing right for the press and slip fits, but I ended up drilling them with a ¼" and 17/64" drill at the end. Similarly with the dovetails, a little sanding, but the result is a perfect fit! Snip a piece of 1.75mm filament to stick into the top of the trigger ¾" long, this keeps the bands from wedging around the revolve star (see YouTube video for details).

Hours of Fun! Right Handed or Left Handed, it doesn't matter, this thing is ambidextrous. Print multiples and have competitions, or I guess you could just print one and practice up for any carnival games you may be attending soon. Give them away as Christmas presents and show the rest of the family how rewarding 3D printing is!
