Summary

This splint is designed for sprains or injuries requiring immobilization of the index and/or middle finger.

It is very comfortable, rigid, easy to print and can be made to fit any size hand (follow the printing instructions for best fitting)

It is very easy to mold it by dipping it in hot water and following the instructions.

Its multi-layered design gives it the required rigidity as well as a great adjustment capacity.

Caution: there are two different splints for the right and left hand. Please make sure to print the corresponding one

This gives you the percentage of scale to be indicated in your slicer.</p><p>Caution: uncheck uniform scale and only change the length and width, not the thickness. This could alter the rigidity of the splint slightly.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Splint position

            <div><p>To position the splint correctly, follow these guidelines:</p><p>Caution: there are two different splints for the right and left hand. Please make sure to print the corresponding one </p><ul><li>Open your hand facing you, palm up.</li><li>Place the splint on your index and middle fingers, flat side up (bar on the palm side).</li><li>Place the bar in the middle of the splint between your two fingers.</li><li>Make sure you have the triangular shaped part in your palm as shown in the picture </li></ul><p>The splint is now correctly placed on your hand. Now fold the two sides of the splint around your finger following the molding techique instructions.</p><p>Finally, add a compress between your two fingers.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>Molding technique</strong></p>            <div><p>To mold it, simply place the splint in hot water (close to boiling), fully immerged, for a few seconds (about 15s) so that it softens.</p><p>Then take the splint out of the water and wipe it very quickly with a cloth and mould it directly onto the index and middle fingers. Be careful, you only have a few seconds before it hardens again (about 5s). </p><p>Repeat this operation as many times as necessary so that the splint holds as well as possible.</p><p>You can add 2 or 3 fasteners (such as rilsan) on the top of the splint so that it fits perfectly.</p></div>
