Add the model to your slicer with another model of your choice.
Position the model so that when the model is subtracted, the bottom large surface is at the bottom.
Then set a pause in your slicer at the height where the space for the bottle opener metal plate ends. When printing is paused, you can insert the metal plate and then print the model further.
Make sure to check your print settings. Because the adhesion to the metal is very bad, you can embed the plate if you set e.g. 6 outer lines. This worked for me very well.

For an example, attached is a picture where I subtracted the object from an egg, so I made the egg into two bottle openers.
