Description
These fit my Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT and my Explore Scientific iEXOS-100-2. Both seem to use the same tripod with 1.25" legs and a nearly useless tray.
You know what I hate about telescope tripods? Barely any useful storage, that's what. I was complaining night and day and my wife finally told me to shut up and do something about it, so I did.
You'll need a printer with a bed of 252x252 and print diagonally, just like the picture with the single piece shows.
The cutouts for the legs are 40mm and will accommodate 1.25" legs. The eyepiece holes are also 1.25" and if they're too snug just sand a little. These are intended to be secured and supported by the existing tray so measure before you print.
You'll need some 1/2" Velcro and I use the 8"x1/2" One-Wrap straps.
Place these pieces, one at a time, over the existing tray. Secure the pieces to each other and then secure them to the existing tray arms.
It isn't rock solid but it's sturdy enough to hold a flashlight, eyepieces, cell phone, even a couple sodas.
