Description
I was looking for a good container to use with this Modular Hydroponic Tower Garden. I noticed that all the lids printed are deformed after a while. Because everything is heavy on top!
Then my wife bought a couple Gamma lids for housing flour, sugar and such. AND there it was! My Lid for this Tower!
I put a Nozzle for Water on one side and the Electrical cord on the other. The little hole on the side is for a Bamboo Skewer Stick and Styrofoam as a Water Float to know how much water is in there.
I used quantity 4: 1/4" x 1" long stainless steel hex bolts, and SS Nuts. Either standard or Locking Nuts.
Instructions:
I found out there are two gamma lids. Gamma Seallid and Gamma 2. (Look at Pictures) The Gamma 2 handle part is thinner and will not work. The Gamma Seallid works great!
I took the biggest washer I could find to draw out the whole. Which looks to be about the size of a door handle saw blade. But I don't have one of those so I drilled a hole and cut around.
The one problem is how to find out where to drill the holes to fix this to the Gamma Lid??? I messed up a print that stopped right after the bridging part. which worked out wonderfully for drilling. I guess you could print a "fast" "cheap" version of this and end it soon like mine. or maybe put some color on the bottom to make an imprint. I am not sure how to do this nicely.
Then drill one more hole where the float will be.
I have printed about 10 of these units and they work great!
