The part orientation as per upload is correct. Interconnecting part fit may be tight, depending on the plastics used, or the printer/slicer settings. Carefully warming female parts (hot water works well for me) can help with assembly, as can some careful sanding or filing, or even reducing/enlarging the part size slightly during slicing/printing.

Slide the windscreen in from the side and secure with the #4x3/8" screw (or a 4G x 9mm sheet metal screw) from the rear. Insert the engine into the tail prior to inserting the tail into the hull.
