Threaded Board

This is a board, with a bunch of threaded holes. There's also a screw. The screw threads into the board, as well as being able to thread into another screw's head.

The threads are M15x1.5. This definitely isn't as nice as a much thicker, steeper pitch thread, but hey, it was automatically generated by Fusion360, and that's good enough for me.

I've included .f3d and .step files, so those'll be nice if you want to modify it. You should be able to adjust most of the basic things with the parameters in the Fusion file if you go that route.

Make remixes to your heart's content. Make unattributed copies to your heart's content. Make your own versions with better threads with more appropriate tolerances for 3D printing. Have at it. The threaded board world is your oyster.

Why does this exist?

I don't really know. Pegboard, Wall Control, IKEA's SKADIS, Gridfinity, and the Honeycomb storage wall kind of have this niche on lock. I certainly don't know if any benefits this type of thing has outweigh the negatives of using A LOT of filament. As for why I made it: for practice and for the lulz.

Absolutely not

Are you going to make other versions, longer screws, or accessories?

Doubtful, though this was good practice for me, a novice modeler, so maybe. IDK ask me in the comments if you have something in particular. Here are some ideas:

• A thicker board with holes on the edges so you can screw two boards together at a 90 degree angle
• Longer screws to attach those boards and other thicker accessories
• Marble runs or other Rube Goldberg-eque shenanigans
• Screws with offset heads to act as cams. Gotta deal with the orientation when threading for those.
• A phone holder for some reason, idk
