Description
Making tiny ceramic spoons is a little fiddly, so BEHOLD: The Tiny Spoon Cutter and Former.
1 Roll out clay to 2mm and compress, let sit for a bit so it's not too wet.
2 Drape the spoon cutouts over the form, and give them a nice shape.
3 Wait.
4 Wait some more.
5 Carefully clean them up then bisque fire.
6 Glaze them.
The cutter is remixed to get the right size, but also, I find all dual wall cutters bend and get clogged with clay (or biscuit mix) ruining the cut and the cutter, so I flared out the base to make them wider at the non-cutting edge, so the walls are tapered.
For the former, I started with a spoon (like so many other stories), cut it, extruded it, solidified it, duplicated it, and set it on a base.
