Description
Was looking to put together my own filament drybox when I came across the original files (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3238988 Great Concept) and one of the remixes (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4710191 Also Great). I wanted to add a silica container to help with moister control and noticed all the empty space that was in the rollers from the remixed design. As I wanted to have something that could fit pretty much any width of filament spool, I started by creating my own longer tube, added a threaded cap to one end and placed 2mm holes going around the tube.
The result... a drybox roller that can accommodate a roll up to 3.5in/9mm wide and can fill each roller with silica beads, controlling the moister without taking up additional space. The bottom stand pieces had to be elongated as well to accommodate the longer rollers. I will likely add bands on the ends of the rollers to assist with keeping the spools in place.
