Solarmobil RC solar car

This is a direct solar powered RC car project. It requires no battery, and it only works when the sun shines on it.

All te parts print without support. The assembly requires a generous amount of glue. The way how the parts fit together can be seen in the pictures.

It uses 2 pieces of 6V 6W 170x230 solar panels connected in series to provide 12V 6W of power. Available on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002777632698.html

The motors are 12V with a built in gearbox reduction to 300rpm and they seem to be the perfect the perfect choice since they provide a decent speed without overloading the panels's output. Since the motor has exposed gears, there is a little printable gear cover piece to protect them from dust or dirt. It can also be seen in te pictures.

Other than that, the vehicle uses a dual drive reversible brushed ESC with built in mixing, and a simple 2 channel RX TX. I provide links to the parts I've used but they can be really any generic type of part.

As caster wheels I've used simple furniture casters with about 40mm overal heigth.

DON'T put 2 caster wheels on it like I did. One caster in the front center can make it handle mutch better, especially on uneven terrain.
