Chaos blade (with chain) from God of War

Chaos blade from the god of war video games saga.

Here you will find 2 types of models:

• one without the chain, in one piece
• a group of 3 models (chain, handle and blade) that you can print all at once or separately if you want to change the colors. Once printed, you just have to assemble it with a little bit of glue (dont lose the open chain peice for the back of the handle to assemble it later).

You will need to print the chain by taking rest on the flat spots I designed under it, you will see, it is supposed to be printed sideways. However, you will still need to turn on the supports, and this for every piece of the full item.

Depending on the printer and the plate you are using, you might need or not an initial border to give more stability to the print, and make it stick enough to the buildplate. I personally used this feature on every part of this print, and I think it is very useful for the chain.

I putted 5 percent infill for the blade and handle, and no infill for the chain.

The whole model was printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 layer height, and 3 wall layers.

The prints in the picture have been realised with standard PLA from the GEETECH brand, that I would recommend. Printed on my Ender 3 pro.

The scale I used for the multiple parts model was 18% of the real model scale. printing all parts separately took roughly 6 hours in total, at 65 -70 mm/s.

I recommend printing the blade on it's edge, to get a smooth surface on both sides of it.
Same thing applies to the handle.
