Description
Do you (or someone you know) have a dust extraction system that utilizes the Rockler Dust Right "Quick Fit" system?
Would you like to connect it to a DeWalt 745, 7485, or 7491 series table saw, which only has a 60mm diameter dust port? (at least, on the lower dust port) the exact models include:
•DeWalt DW745-XE (Type 4) table saw
•DeWalt DCS7485-XE (Type1) table saw
•DeWalt DCS7485N-XJ (Type 3) table saw
•DeWalt DCS7485T2-XE (Type3) table saw
•DeWalt DWE7491-XE (Types 1-4) table saw
•DeWalt DWE7491-XJ (Type3) table saw
•DeWalt DWE7491EXB-XE (Type 4) table saw
If so, here's my adaptor to join them.
My first 60mm DWE-7491-XE dust port adaptor (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4538797) connected to the INSIDE of the table saw's lower port to a shop vac, because I modeled it on the included adaptor.
That's ok if you're running it into a 35mm hose on a shop vac. However, it's not exactly ideal if you're trying to connect a 4" system. Naturally, inserting the adaptor INTO the already-narrowed port narrows the tool's port even further, and this increases drag on the airflow, and reduces your dust extractor's efficiency/effectiveness.
So, I redesigned it from scratch to couple to the OUTSIDE of the port, which has SIGNIFICANTLY improved the performance. It's still narrower than 4" but I'll take what I can get. Rockler's "Dust Right" connector features an additional adjustable air inlet if you notice the pipe contracting/imploding too much. :-)
