If you enjoy my designs you can help me by simply installing Temu and joining for free using my Temu Associate link:

Not only can you buy 3D printer items and parts needed to make my designs, you also get a really nice discount. Temu ships pretty quickly, the prices are really low, and the quality is very good. The credits I earn from referrals help me buy filament and publish more free useful designs.

These are food can mounts so you can up-cycle your tin cans (they are made of steel these days). I have spaced the holes so that they can be mounted on standard pegboard if you prefer. The larger (75mm) size fits most typical vegetable food cans (15-16oz), and the smaller one (67mm) is for the standard Campbell's condensed soup can size (10-12oz). They have a little flex and if your can is an ounce larger or smaller they will usually work. The cans can easily slide into the mount, or be dropped in from the top.

There are two versions of each size with one having recessed holes for drywall anchors, and one having beveled holes. Drywall anchors nest nicely in the hole. Drywall anchors are typically a little too long for pegboard (most people have their pegboard spaced about 1/2 inch from the wall), but you can just snip off a quarter of an inch of your drywall anchor and they work great.

The mounts are printed using PLA, but if I was to print my own drywall anchors I would use PETG. There are many designs on Thingiverse for drywall anchors you can print, but you will probably have to print them in PETG or ABS because drywall anchors are very fragile and rigid when printed in PLA and snap easily. For pegboard mounting, like the drywall anchors, you should use screws that are about 1/2 inch long, depending on how far your pegboard is from the wall.

You can also of course mount them to the wall directly, or to a plank of wood and make a nice rack, however you like.

Get creative and give your cans a quick coat of spray paint and they look quite nice. I've made a set in nice fall colors in the photos above for a decorative look. You can color code the cans for better organization. (Blue for paint brushes, Red for pens and markers, whatever). Now you can stop tossing those cans in the trash bin and up-cycle them into great storage systems.

The BEST thing in the world is to have an amazing little Safety Can Opener. If you don't know what a safety can opener is, it allows you to open canned goods without any sharp edges! It kinda 'pops' the top off, which can actually be re-used as a lid. They are great, and they cost the same as a regular can opener. They really make your food can storage system looking a little more polished and safer. Once you get one, you will never use the old style can opener again. They are awesome!

For spray paint, I recommend Rustoleum 2X (127 colors, and cheaper online):

If you create a cool storage system or decorative display, please post a make pic. I would love to see your creations and encourage other people to reuse what often ends up in the landfill.
