The Encapsulated Europa Clipper Version
The components in this section combine with many of the components on the
Europa Clipper Scale Model 2023B Version which shows all Europa Clipper's major components and all the science instruments.
Together, they create a version of the Europa Clipper model that has its solar arrays and magnetometer boom in stowed configuration, ready to be encapsulated inside the SpaceX Falcon Heavy fairing for launch (which is slated for October 2024). It includes pieces that represent the fairing and launch vehicle adaptor.
Assembling
Download and print the Europa Clipper Scale Model 2023B Version linked above. You won't have to print the solar wings, the magnetometer boom, the HF Antennas, or the stand. Assemble the model and then use the stowed-configuration solar wings and tiny, short "stowed" magnetometer in this set. You can glue your model into either the full-size half-fairing, or the shortened one, depending on how you want your display.
If you print the circular base part in black, you can rub in some white putty or wall-patching compound (vinyl spackling paste) to make the text stand out. The first picture shows the base sitting on a circular wooden coaster.
