HarborFreight LED COB 18650 conversion 2020 model

UPDATE
AS OF 5/13/2024 I BOUGHT A 2024 MODEL OF THE LED COB AND NOTICED SOME SLIGHT DIFFERENCES WITH MY REMIX AND THIS ONE, I WILL BE MAKING A SEPARATE REMIX FOR THE 2024 MODEL LIKE YOU SEE IN THE FIRST IMAGE I SHOW A STICKER WITH NUMBERS ON IT, I WILL BE ASSUMING THIS IS HOW YOU MATCH WHICH REMIX GOES TO WHICH ONE, UNFORTUNATELY I DONT HAVE ANY LED COB FOR 2021, 2022, AND 2023, IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE THOSE AND MAKE SLIGHT CHANGES I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU INCLUDE THE REMIX AS WELL.

this is a remix to 27 led to work with newer LED COB

Changes I made,

Some holes are slightly smaller, I stripped plastic threads with no effort.
I modified the bottom clips to be supportless and made one hole biger to fit tp4056 usb C type.
Slightly moved and made dowels to put the switch pcb on, its loose so dab a little bit of super glue or some form of glue.

I also learned you can use M3x14mm self tap screws instead of #4x1/2. You can use a slightly shorter screw. My 14mm were sticking out out, so I would say 2-3 mm shorter you should be fine.

Use what ever method to make contacts for your batteries. the original BOM and original bottom-CLIP will work with this if you choose not to print the support less clips.

The contacts I used do end up stretching/ripping the 18650 wrap.
