Description
I saw a few posts online of people mounting their EV charging cables to the garage ceiling and using a pully/tool balancer to pull it down and plug it in. That keeps the cable out of the way and can easily be pulled down to charge the EV.
I use a Mustart Level 2 EV charger for my Chevy Bolt EUV.
I purchased a tool balancer (4.4-6.6lbs, Sumake SB-3.0) online and attached it to the ceiling. (Note that the holes at the top of that tool balancer are different sizes)
I designed and printed off an EV cable bracket to attach to the charging cable so it will hang from the ceiling and be comfortable to pull down.
I used:
M5x16mm screws (4)
M5 nuts and bolts. (4)
Carabiner 1/4in x 2-3/8in (1)
Photos should explain a bit better.
The cable thickness is 17mm.
