Description

My family wanted to play the classic "Candy Land" game, but the new one they bought didn't have enough pieces for the amount of people we had. This is a very close approximation to the new game pieces, but was mostly done by tracing the game piece onto a sheet of paper, and then importing a scan of that piece of paper into Fusion as a sketch layer which I traced and modeled from there.

The whole thing can be printed as one piece, but I found the best results come from printing the base and body as separate pieces laying flat on the build plate. The legs are interference fit to allow for a cleaner and stronger joint. I recommend heating the base up and then pushing the legs into the slots. From there, it doesn't hurt to add a couple drops of CA glue.

The original game-pieces have some slight twists in the hands and legs, which can be done pretty easily at this thickness just by heating the piece up slightly and bending it with your fingers (very little heat/force is needed!). You could also choose to keep the piece flat, and it would function all the same - I personally feel they look a little more "professional" when they have some extra dimension.

Please feel free to share how yours turn out!
