Sausage Stuffer Kit 16mm - For KitchenAid Mixers - Requires Food Grinder Kit* - ONE TIME USE ONLY

I received the Food Grinder Kit for our KitchenAid as a gift for Christmas. I printed the Sausage Stuffer in PLA and used it to stuff sausages today and it worked great (well - pretty good, more later).

First a word of safety - You cannot clean this good enough after the first use to ever use again. Don't even try. Just drop it in the compost bin dirty and print another in 6 months when you attempt this again. (I live in Seattle, we have commercial grade composting at the curb - my PLA goes right in the bin when it is over its useful lifetime). DO NOT USE MORE THAN ONE TIME.

I could only find casing for the 16mm size so I didn't design a 8mm stuffer, I don't think this will matter to anyone.

I tried grinding the meat, mixing the spices then stuffing the sausages - don't try this with this kit! What a pain! The ground meat will not feed itself through the grinder, it just sits there. You basically have to press it through, not fun.

What does work - mix cubed meat with spices and any other ingredients and feed this into the grinder. You won't even have to press it, it will just feed itself. Far easier, but probably a little courser mix.

• The published version is slightly shorter than the images of my prototype, also it has a thinner flange.
