HDMI spirit level: for DSLR cameras

What is it!

It's not electronic, It's for photographers who can't afford to by a tripod head that has a spirit level inset. You might laugh, and you might say "get a hot shoe spirit level, they cost nothing" but what happens if you are using a flash in your hot shoe? You need an alternative, there are a lot of people who have some of the gear but can't quite make it professionally without all the gear. This allows you to use consumer / amateur tripods and take a level shot.

How to make it:

If you 3D print the thing, you need to buy a circular spirit level hot shoe, then remove the spirit level out of it, and replace this into the HDMI spirit level's hole, You also need to buy a HDMI to mini HDMI adapter and plug both together.

Your camera has a mini HDMI input, this is usually on the side of the camera at a ninety-degree angle to the base, we can put the HDMI to mini HDMI adapter into this and then push in our HDMI spirit level thing, it sticks out a bit, and its wiggly, but it works.

How to use it:

When the camera is on a cheap tripod, you would plug this thing into the mini HDMI port of your camera and look down at this spirit bubble while eyeballing your way to centring the tripod ball joint. It's fairly accurate, not perfect, but you can use it to get level ish.
