Ashitaka`s Sword Low Detail Version

Been looking for this sword online for about 2 years and thought I'd just make it myself and put it out there for others.

Overall length is about 70cm (shoulder to hip, for me based on the movie proportions against Ashitaka),
Blade: 4x Blade_Segment & 1 Blade_Tip,
Handle: 2x Handle_Hilt & 1 Handle_Main

This design has a 14mm tube running through the middle so that it's main structure comes from a 12mm wooden dowel which i picked up from a hardware store. If required I can make a file to print joiners.

Having watched the film again there is a mistake in the design as the swords design changes on the level of detail and size in the shot. so v2 I will make a higher detailed version with a different blade profile and correct hilt (it's only a ring when zoomed out, it's actually a loop of metal going into the handle)

15/11/24 So i'm terrible at self promotion, so only realised that only my latest posts have any info about this, but many people asked me if they could request models or if i had a patreon, so I went out and made one. I'm still amazed that I get tips from this website as I've done all of these because I want to make them, and as I get better at modelling I scrap what I've made and make it better.
