Remix of RichWP's Portal Man - Plaque / Wall Hanger https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2720029

The changes were:

  1. Removing the connection between the lower foot and the rest of the body at the frame. Although this resulted in the back half of the person becoming two pieces, I think the overall look is improved.

  2. Changing the single angled hole for mounting on a nail to two horizontal holes for insertion of magnets. The diameter and depth of the holes are both 7mm.

  3. I chopped off 1mm from the front face of the frame. This was to improve the printing quality as the original has a slight rounding to it.

I printed mine off at only 70% scale. I already had 3/16" (~5mm) magnets (these specifically), so they fit snuggly without even needing glue. It also meant the magnets didn't take up as much room on the fridge. Although mine stick to the fridge quite well, the length or quality of your magnets might be important to support the weight.

I glued the frame to the inserts, but the man pieces are press fit like the magnets were. For something that's just going to be art on the fridge, I think the snugness of the press fit is sufficient.
