Summary

Licence Plate Bracket for North American Plates. This was made for and measured against actual Canadian, Ontario plates, but it should fit plates for all other Canadian provinces and most US state plates.

Materials:
I used black PLA
I made one for the front and one for the back plates out of black PLA.
They have fared well in all winter and summer weather for 2 years now.

How I Designed This

This part was created by taking actual measurement of my licence plate.
I used SolidWorks and a fusion deposition printer to design this thing.

The initial prototype was a tight fit onto the plate so I made relevant changes.
It fits well now and the plate is securely held with no chance of slipping out.
For a looser fit scale by 1-2%.

Please Note
The plate and bracket should be secured firmly to the vehicle using the vehicle manufacturer's recommended method, appropriate screws and whatever mounting hardware might be required.
This bracket, will accept, and you may chose to install, a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf plate cover.

Finished Project
This is a finished part that should hold your plate securely and fit well onto your vehicle.
Since it does what it's supposed to do, I will not develop this further. However, if yu would like to see a minor change, don't hesitate to reach out.
