Customizable box / PSU / power adapter / power strip bracket / holder

Some time ago I found this great design concept of a power adapter holder by bekudrei / bequ3:

I like it so much that I decided to OpenSCAD it :)

This project can be used in three ways:

• generate your own models using OpenSCAD and provided file (customizable-box-psu-power-adapter-holder.scad).
• generate your own models using Customizer enabled here in this project by Thingiverse (be careful when using bracket_base_type parameter, Thingiverse Customizer seems to have a bug and wrongly shows a model when bracket_base_type==1).
• just download, slice and 3D print pre-generated STL files (ready-to-print holders) if you think they may be suitable for mounting your box/psu/power adapter.

Using first two options: editing the file in OpenSCAD (as well as using its internal "Window/Customizer") and Thingiverse Customizer, you can easily customize the default model to your needs by changing values of the parameters in the file.

Safety remark

If a device that you want to install using brackets printed from this project usually gets hot (e.g. power adapter), or you want to install it in a closed environment (e.g., a closed box with limited air circulation), always remember to ensure proper cooling (e.g., sufficient air flow). Mounting a hot power adapter just under a countertop may in the worst case scenario not be safe (fire hazard), or it may decrease the lifetime of your device.
