Description
A friend's friend collects old Tonka toys. He finds them on Ebay and tries to fix them up. He mentioned that several replacement parts are not available. My friend told him that I could probably make him the parts by 3D scanning and printing them.
Here's how I made one. I used a Revopoint POP2 3D scanner to scan the back bench seat from a 1963 Tonka Jeep Runabout. The Revo Scan5 software allowed me to edit and merge two different views.
I used Geomagic DesignX CAD software to sketch out the design of the new CAD model. I exported a STL file and loaded it into my Prusa XL slicer. After two plus hours I had a nice replacement part.
