Description

Just a preview of the next (and probably last) engine model of my pneumatic engine collection.

Note 1: Unfortunately, I have very little time to work on this model.
Note 2: All uploaded files are work in progress! Many things may change so please don't waste plastic to print them until the model is finished. Thank you :-)

Specs:

  • Type: W-shape (twin VR8) - two stroke
  • Angle: 90°
  • Firing order: 1-16-6-9-3-14-7-11-2-15-5-10-4-13-8-12
  • Displacement: 226ccm (~14ccm each)
  • Valves: 32

Details:

  • Materials: PLA (static parts), PETG (moving parts), TPU (sealings)
  • Bearings: 24x 15x21x4, 1x 17x23x4, 4x 10x15x3, 11x 20x32x7
  • Build time: 20-30h

Update 2026-06-15:
I managed to print a few critical parts including one cylinder head, the camshaft, the two cylinder blocks, all of the 16 pistons and the crankshaft. However I noticed that the outlet valves don't seal very good. I may try to print the valve plates using TPU...
