Genie Remote G3T-R : Button Guard

This model is a button guard for the very common Genie G3T-R garage door opener.

I really like the form factor of this remote. Unfortunately, it's VERY easy to press the buttons accidentally when the remote is in your pocket. This can get annoying/dangerous pretty quickly when working in the garage/yard.

The button shield slides into the slot that is used to hold the optional metal belt clip onto the remote. The shield protects all three buttons from inadvertent pressing events but allows you to insert you finger into one of the three holes to press the desired button when needed.

I hate printing support filament, so I chose to add a brim and print the model standing up. It worked fine but it did require a bit of clean up on the expected locations where the filament sags. I also had to lightly sand the part that slides into the Genie remote as there were ridges caused by 'corner bulging' on my print.
