Description
Hey there!
I started by wanting to make a controller holder that would:
What better style to mimic than the Xbox controller! It's always been my favorite. for the aforementioned reasons.
After SEVERAL iterations, testing, and fails, here is the final design I settled on.
It has pretty tight tolerances, however there shouldn't need to be any sanding for fit. Depending on the printer, there are some small overhangs that may need some cleaning for aesthetics.
I like using PLA+ with 20% infill because of how easy it prints, cost, finish, and how holds its dimensional accuracy. However I have also done it with PLA and It worked well.
There are one of each (+ & -). The only thing you'll probably have to do is to flip the models in your slicing program by 90 degrees so they rest flat on their backs. Make sure the front face of the controller faces up to print.
I specifically designed them so you wouldn't need any supports or rafts.
If you appreciate this print and would like to help me out with a dollar or so for my effort creating the design, Thank you! If you can't, no worries.
Happy printing!
