Robot / Gimbal

I designed this robot to shoot pressurized water at unruly cats if they get into a prohibited area of ​​the house. The complete project is too complex to replicate as it involves manufacturing and soldering an SMD PCB, as well as Linux, OpenCV, and Python programming. I decided to give you all the 3D printed parts as it can be really useful for those who want to build a two-axis robot or gimbal.

DISCLAMER: This project is meant to be built by experienced makers and enthusiasts who already have tools, many screw sizes, wires, etc. If you are a beginner, I strongly recommend you find another one that is designed for beginners, with links to each part, step by step instructions, and every single thing you will need.

Some useful info:

• Stepper motors are NEMA 17.
• Pulley system is: 12T motor gear + 200-2GT-6 belt.
• Threaded inserts are M3 * 5.7 mm - OD 4.6 mm from AliExpress.
• Most of the screws I used are M3 x 6 - 20 mm.
• The solenoid valve uses two M4 x 16 mm.
• The camera uses four M2 x 6 mm.
• I used a Pi Camera + 50 cm ribbon cable.
• The solenoid valve's ref. from AliExpress is "2V025-06 PC6 LED".
• The water tube is 6.35 mm of diameter.
• Laser pointer is 3.3 V and 6 mm of diameter.
• Bearings are 17 x 26 x 5mm (6803).
• Hall sensors are A3144.
• Neodymium magnets are 4 x 2 mm.
• Cable spirals are 6 mm of diameter.
