Cowboy C4 Bike Handlebars Cover Plate

One of the hook brackets of the original part of my C4 broke off and I decided to design this because I think sooner or later it would happen to a replacement part, too. So I wanted to be able to just print another one. I've tried to be as close to the original part as possible, respectively as necessary. FDM has other restrictions than injection molding… Anyway, I took a lot of measurements, threw them all into the Inventor and within a couple of hours and two iterations I had this part ready. As you can see in the pictures it fits quite good. There is room for improvement on the top edge, which could be a little more flush with the handlebars.

Printed in matt black it should blend in quite well with the overall design of the handlebars. But I didn't have that color of PETG on hand and I decided to choose something flashier to show off the printed part on a cowboy bike. :)

Printed in PETG with just a tiny bit of support structure under the arch at the front. (as seen in the last picture)
