Description
I've been working on this project for some time now, it's been great to get it completed and mounted.
Please find attached the back plate that can be laser cut from acrylic, and my Arduino Code that accounts for daylight savings depending on your timezone.
I was first inspired by this incredible Instructables piece made by Michael Klements from thediylife, all credit for this project idea goes to him. (https://www.instructables.com/member/thediylife/)
If you are looking for the 3D files for the segments and dots at the center of the clock, alongside a whole tutorial about creating your own, please reference their incredible post:
####Mechanical Seven Segment Display Clock
Timelapse:
The code is currently configured as if you are in Ireland (GMT).
The Christmas countdown feature is included in the second script, where ten days before Christmas, the clock will display a countdown instead of the time. For example, ten days before Christmas, it will display 10:10, nine days before Christmas 09:09, and so on.
