A small light effect lamp made from laser-cut plexiglass.
The file includes all necessary parts.
The thickness of the plexiglass needs to be taken into account.
Assembling it is relatively easy.
The small but strong neodymium magnets in the plexiglass used for the bottom and as a lid are closing the lamp safely.
The main ring has a 24 LED DIGI-DOT-RING embedded within it (http://www.led-genial.de/DIGI-DOT-Ring-mit-24-x-WS2812B-LEDs).
Each one of the WS2812 LEDs contains an integrated PWM chip so they can be selected individually, every one of them having 16 million colors and 256 levels of brightness.
In order to achieve this one also needs a WS2812 controller.
An Arduino could be used very well but it is way too large.
The more elegant solution is the LED-Player (http://www.led-genial.de/LED-Player-spielt-LED-Effekte-von-SD-Karte-ab) or the LED-Stamp (http://www.led-genial.de/LED-Stamp-die-LED-Briefmarke-fuer-WS2812) by Diamex.
These controllers can be embedded directly and they have to be soldered onto the pixel ring.
There are just three small spots where they have to be attached.
Afterwards just attach the lamp to a PC via a USB cable, a cellphone power supply or a power bank.
While the LED-Stamp already has a few finished programs in store, the SD-LED-Player offers a lot more.
The player can be controlled via a USB port and the software Jinx! (http://www.live-leds.de) in order to create great effects.
One can also create audio and camera effects easily.
They can even be saved as a file. These can be transferred to an SD card so the player will play the files even without the use of a PC.
Several of these files can be saved on an SD card, their number varying with the latter’s individual capacity, and this way the files can be played after one another.
So there is a lot of room to experiment.

Eine kleine Effektlampe aus lasergeschnittenen Plexiglas. In der Datei sind alle Teile abgelegt. Die Dicke der Scheiben sollte beachtet werden. Der Zusammenbau ist recht einfach. Die kleinen aber starken Neodym-Magnete in der Grundplatte und Deckel verschließen die Konstruktion sicher. In dem Hauptring ist ein 24 DIGI-DOT-RING (http://www.led-genial.de/DIGI-DOT-Ring-mit-24-x-WS2812B-LEDs ) eingebettet. Die WS2812 LEDs haben je einen eingebauten PWM-Chip, können also einzeln und individuell angesteuert werden. Jede einzelne mit 16 Millionen Farben und 256 Helligkeitsstufen. Um das zu schaffen benötigt man noch einen WS2812-Controller. Dazu eignet sich ein Arduino recht gut, der ist nur viel zu groß. Viel eleganter geht es mit dem LED-Player (http://www.led-genial.de/LED-Player-spielt-LED-Effekte-von-SD-Karte-ab) oder der LED-Stamp (http://www.led-genial.de/LED-Stamp-die-LED-Briefmarke-fuer-WS2812 ) von Diamex. Diese Controller kann man direkt einbauen und direkt auf den Pixelring auflöten. Es sind nur drei kleine Lötstellen. Danach einfach mit einer USB-Leitung an den PC, Handynetzteil oder Powerbank anschließen, schon geht es los. Während die LED-Stamp schon ein paar fertige Programme mitbringt, kann der SD-LED-Player sehr viel mehr. Über den USB-Port lässt sich der Player via der Software Jinx! (http://www.live-leds.de) fabelhaft ansteuern, tolle Effekte kann man hier kreieren. Auch Audio und Kameraeffekte sind kinderleicht zu erstellen. Die sind sogar als Datei abspeicherbar und man kann diese auf SD-Card ablegen und mit dem Player ganz ohne PC abspielen. Mehrere dieser Dateien sind auf der SD-Card abspeicherbar, je nach Kapazität und hintereinander abspielbar. Man hat also viel Spielraum zu experimentieren. Viel Spaß beim Nachbau.
