Description
For mounting and lining up both directions of WS2812 LED arrays. Those arrays are a tad floppy and need some sort of base to stick them on. For attaching them to each other, use either screws, glue or brackets which you can print too. Those can in turn be glued or screwed to the meeting point of four feet of the bases.
Presets are for 16x16 arrays, square with 16 cm length of one side. OpenSCAD file has been added for customization. It generated either object, by selecting from the pulldown prior to generating the corresponding .stl file.
Printed with PLA, no supports, no brim. I currently attach the LED arrays with thin double sided sticky tape, the kind which is used for glueing mobile phone digitizers to TFT screens, as it's very thin and holds well. But that may change, should the cover feature mounting flaps, allowing to squeeze the array between carrier and cover.
