BMW R1200RT Accessory Mount

This mount is customized to fit the BMW R1200RT series motorcycles in the 2014 to 2018 year range (tested on 2017). It is a two-piece design which fits into the opening on the pillion foot peg casting. Since both sides of the motorcycle are mirrored, you can mirror this design in one axis when printing to get the other side. You will need three screws (#10 x 1 inch flat head stainless) to clamp the two pieces in place on the motorcycle. This should fit all BMW motorcycles which use the same casting.

The mount has a 1x1 inch square opening to accept other attachments, and a 1/4 inch hole through the mount to pin the other attachment in place. In the photos I show an accessory to hold a collapsable mast (Spiderbeam 7m). The 1x1 inch opening is designed to be level with the ground when the motorcycle is on the center stand.

This part must be printed as strong as possible. I printed in PETG with 50% infill and at least 1.6 mm thick perimeters. ASA or ABS might be better choices. But print in PLA first to confirm the fit on your bike!
