Toyota Avalon 2013-2018 vent tabs (front outer and rear center)

These are replacement tilt tabs for the front outer left, front outer right, and rear vents.Tested on our 2015 Avalon XLE Premium.

The front outer tabs don't need support.

The rear vents need supports. Adjust your support overhang angle until the only support generated is between the printer bed and the bottom tooth (no support between teeth, and no supports inside the tab--there is a small overhanging corner inside the tab as a motion limiter, but it doesn't need support).

To install, center the car's horizontal and vertical vanes, and then snap the tab into position, with the horizontal center of the gear on the tab close to the center of the gear on the horizontal vane inside the vent (use a flashlight to see). The gear on the tab should stick out more on the bottom side for the front tabs. You may want to experiment a bit with positioning to make sure you maximize the range of horizontal motion.

WARNINGS:

1. Use ABS or another higher melting point plastic. Don't use PLA as it will distort when the heating is on.
2. Be gentle and don't fiddle with the vanes too much. On one of my vents, after trying too many prototypes, I damaged the linkage between the vanes.

If you need one for the front center vents, you will probably need to customize the measurements. If you do that, let me know the changes and I can include it in the download. (Our Avalon still has the stock center vent tabs, so I can't test.)
