Coin cell battery model (customizable)

Generates coin cell batteries that follow the published standard (IEC 60086-3) as closely as possible. All battery sizes listed in the standard¹ can be generated or alternatively a custom battery size can be specified. The cathode size and shape can be specified. Polarity and type labels can optionally be embossed into the anode side. The code that generates the models can easily be incorporated into your own scripts, see script for details. ¹ Supported zinc battery sizes are 410, 416, 421, 510, 512, 516, 521, 527, 614, 616, 621, 626, 712, 714, 716, 721, 726, 910, 912, 914, 916, 920, 927, 936, 1116, 1120, 1130, 1136, 1142, and 1154. Supported lithium battery sizes are 1025, 1216, 1220, 1225, 1612, 1616, 1620, 1632, 2012, 2016, 2025, 2032, 2320, 2325, 2430, and 2450. --- ### Parameters * **`$fn` → Number of segments in a circle** * **`code` → Standard battery size to generate** Select `"Use values below"` for non-standard sizes. * **`d` → Outer diameter** Only used if `code` is set to `"Use values below"`. This is **d₁** in the standard. * **`h` → Total height** Only used if `code` is set to `"Use values below"`. This is **h₁/h₂** in the standard. * **`cathode_diameter` → Cathode diameter** Note that the cathode may be further trimmed by the keep-out ("secure") area specified in the standard. This is roughly equivalent to **d₄** in the standard. Options are: * `Auto` → Inset the cathode by a distance the same as its height above the anode. * `Minimum` → Set the cathode to its minimal permitted diameter (**d₄** in the standard). * `Maximum` → Set the cathode to the full diameter of the battery. * `Use value below` → Used to set a custom diameter. Must be selected for non-standard sizes. * **`dc` → Custom cathode diameter (at outer surface)** This is roughly-equivalent to manually setting the standard's **d₄** value. For this to be active you must also select `"Use value below"` for the `cathode_diameter` option, above. * **`cathode_height` → Cathode height (above the anode cylinder)** This is roughly-equivalent to manually setting the standard's **h₅** value. Options are: * `Minimum` → Set the cathode to its minimal permitted height (**h₅** in the standard). * `Maximum` → Set the cathode to the maximum permitted height (**l₁** in the standard). * `Use value below` → Used to set a custom cathode height. Must be selected for non-standard sizes. * **`hc` → Custom cathode height (above the anode cylinder)** This is roughly equivalent to **h₅** in the standard. For this to be active you must also select `"Use value below"` for the `cathode_height` option, above. * **`bevel_cathode` → Bevel cathode edge (outwards)** If set then the cathode will have a 45° bevel added to outside of its outer edge in all cases. Normally a bevel is only applied if the cathode intrudes into the keep-out ("secure") area. * **`polarity_label` → Label battery polarity** If set then a `+` sign will be embossed onto the anode side. * **`code_label` → Label battery code** If set then the battery's code (e.g. `2032`) will be embossed onto the anode side. Note that a code label will only be shown is a standard battery size has been selected. * **`code_font` → Label font** The font to use for the code label in OpenSCAD format. For example `:style=Bold` or `Futura:style=Demi`.
