Magnote - Magnetic Paper Note holder with a twist

I was looking for a simple but functional paper note holder for my fridge. Sadly I did not find a solution I liked and/ or the used magnet sizes were not at hand.

So I designed my own version with a twist! You are not bound to one magnet size and if you don't need the holder any longer you can simply retrieve the magnets and recycle the plastic parts!!

Also I designed the holder so the paper notes are not that close to the magnet but at an angle to be easier accessable.

You can use different pens since I made the hole in the middle big enough to fit more than one pen design.

Parts List

You have 4 spots where you can place your magnets with a max diameter of 10 mm and a max height of 6 mm.

You can use up to 6 x 1 mm thick magnets with a diameter of 8 or 10 mm for example. But beware that the smaller the magnets are, the lower is the holding force too.

As for the 3D printed Designs I have a closed one for a cleaner look and an open design where you can easily write on the notes while having them still on the fridge.

Assembling

1. Print all Parts and get some Magnets :)
2. Put the magnets inside the cavitys. I used smaller magnets to fix them in place for an easier assembly.
3. Insert the pins to fixate the magnets.
4. Add the Holder to a magnetic/ metallic surface and insert the notes & a pen.
5. Have fun!

Recycling

As I mentioned you won't have any trouble to get your magnets back. Unless with other systems where they are printed into the Design, glued into place or have a snug pressfit where you need to destroy the part around the magnets.

Tipp:

If you don't need this design on the fridge any longer you can use 2 of this and stick them together and have them as a paper note spender and pen holder on your table!
