Description
Crosman M1 is a vintage BB gun that had a faux magazine that served to hold extra BBs.
The term "mag" is used for brevity and is in no way a feeding device.
Many of these mags have long since been misplaced.
These are rockcrawler1980 design. The two pieces were grouped and BB holder was not touching the plate. So I separated for those that want to print separate.
Crosman_mag.stl is the original separated from the cover.
The original printed cap does not fit the factory mag nor the printable one. So that I deleted.
Crosman_mag_cover_factory.stl will fit a factory mag, but leaves a gap that BBs might spill out of on the printed mag. This is due to a slightly different rail stop.
Crosman_mag_cover_Mod.stl has hang over added to make sure there is full closure of the cover. This can be seen in the picture at the red circle
The blue mag in picture is the Crosman_mag_Long.stl, is the original that I separated, remixed by adding a curved inside bottom, I also flipped it to print upside down. In Cura I would add a support blocker to the bottom of the mag, which is pointed up. The curve does not need supports and this saves about 2 hours print time.
The black mag in the picture is Crosman_Med_Size.stl. This I remixed to make the factory size.
The blue I printed at .20 mm layers
The black I printed at .16 mm layers.
both I blocked support as described above, used a brim for better plate adhesion, and supports to the plate.
IMHO the .20mm gives a better and faster print.
Kudos go our to rockcrawler1980 as designing the whole mag, as it is beyond my ability.
