Stand for Original 2-Digit Mechanical Counter (standard depth version)

This is a reverse-engineered remix of krab's solid and reliable stand.

But, before I start, if you aren't familiar with the lovely mechanical counter designed by Flower-3D, go and take a look. It's a work of genius! Do pay him a visit and show some love:

I originally printed the single-digit version a few months ago, and I used it with the solid and reliable stand designed by krab:

When I upgraded to the two-digit version of the counter, I used the original version 2.1 files to ensure I had matching parts for my existing counter. This meant I wasn't able to take advantage of the newer body design with countersunk 3-D printed screws. But I was happy with that. I also chose the slimmer (original depth) case - again to match the parts I already had.

My ancient copy of Sketch-Up 8 is very finicky about what STLs it will import. So when I tried to bring in krab's existing STL, the computer said NO! It actually said “Exception NaN” - but I have no clue what that means!

So I had no option other than to recreate my own version of the krab design from scratch by carefully measuring my already-printed single-digit copy. To be on the safe side, I also modelled a simplified version of the mechanical counter in Sketch-Up, purely as a cross-reference in making sure things were where they belonged.

Once I had a fair representation of the single-digit stand (and I hope I've done him justice with this), I cut my model into two, and added a new bridging piece to accomodate the extra width and screws on the two-digit version's body.

I altered the slots in the back on a whim: It wasn't necessary at all, since Krab's original design worked perfectly well. But I wanted to add my own little touch - even if nobody can see it when the mechanical counter is mounted in the display! I also considered (but rejected) curving the lower corners of the well sides to match the counter's body. But, frankly, I CBA!

Once I was happy, I printed it - expecting tolerance issues. But was pleased to find my counter dropped into the stand almost as sweetly as krab's original.

It would be relatively easy to remove the rear screw slots for the latest version of the mechanical counter. Personally, I haven't any plans to change to that at the moment, but I've included my Sketch-Up file for anyone who wants to make that modification for the newer design.
