Description
The Sentinel Waggon Works of Shrewsbury, England produced a range of steam-powered road and rail vehicles. Their distinctive locomotives had a squat boiler located in the cab and a compact vertical steam engine at the front, driving the wheels via chains. Sentinel locomotives sported a number of different body and cab styles.
My freelance narrow-gauge model pays homage to the Sentinel locomotives above the footplate, with a tram-style chassis designed to take a KATO 109 Chassis (28mm wheel centres).
My loco has been named “Humpybong” (a place name derived from the Australian aboriginal words meaning “deserted shelters”).
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a re-scaled 'BETA' version of my 1:48 design and has not been test printed!
