Dog Paw Ice Cream Treat Holder

Our dog Dapper absolutely loves ice cream. We've been giving him the grocery store canine ice cream treats for years, but every time we struggle to find something to hold the cup while he eats it. I decided to make a holder that would grip the ice cream cup and stay in place. This holder will hold most of the common grocery store dog ice cream cups that we buy for him. It is also sized perfectly for holding these clear plastic cups that are sold on Amazon. We bought a big pack of the cups with lids, and we now make bulk frozen homemade dog treats from yogurt, banana, and all-natural peanut butter, which we put in these cups and freeze.

I printed the dark brown body with PETG filament, and I printed the Rim Gasket and Base using Ataraxia Art Flexible PLA. This was my first time printing with flexible PLA. Overall, I like the way the parts turned out, but I would've preferred it if the filament had a little more grip on hard surfaces. If I make more in the future, I will likely print the Body without solid layers on the bottom, and with gyroid infill. That way, I could then pour some epoxy resin down inside of the infill to add extra weight. The added weight would help to hold it in place even better when it's used on slippery solid floors like ceramic tile. It's also possible that TPU might have a little better grip than the FPLA, but I'm not sure.

Once all 3 pieces were printed, I used super glue to permanently attach the Rim Gasket and Base to the Body. That's about it!
